Same, actually.
I had to find out where this really was because looking at it, I felt like I knew exactly where it was. It turns out it’s in Breezewood, PA, and i have never been there, which only serves to highlight the OP’s point.
this phenomenon is known as “anywhere, USA” and it came about with the development of the interstate highway system in the ‘50s, since it was a much faster way for culture to diffuse and towns, and especially mega corporations, to become more uniform. it was really the beginning of the rise of Brand Name companies.
